Nihlus and Saren - Echoes by efleck Nihlus and Saren - Echoes by efleck
A commission for :iconrhapsodys-fire: .

Nihlus and Saren from Mass Effect, charcoal on 11"x14" paper.

EDIT: Finally got a chance to scan this puppy, so I have replaced the photographed version with this one. Better detail I think.

Ha, cropped my real name off the bottom.

WIP of this drawing is here

Fantastic! You know, looking at this I realized, I don't think I've seen another Turian in the games with those extra.. ~things~ on the sides of their heads like Saren has. Wonder if it had significance..

I've always wondered about those long cheek thingies too. From what I can tell it isn't explained in any of the games, comics or novels. I have the feeling we may never know...

Random comment timing is random: if you look at other turians, you can actually see the things coming off their cheek bones. Saren simply has that headband in between his head and the...spines? Fringe bits?... which appears to have caused their sprouting off to the sides instead of flat against the head as they are on other turians.
