One of three commissions for an etsy user. The Normandy SR2 with Alliance markings. I didn't give the ship a lot of shading, but that was to preserve the detail of her design.

Other than that... charcoal doesn't play nicely with rulers (plus the Normandy is mostly curvy lines) so all free hand... 11x14, charcoal, etc, etc.

Also, I'm totally digging the juxtapostion of the neat, hard lines of the Normandy against the delicate sworls of the nebulae. Aw yeah.

I've been meaning to comment on this one. Wow all of those straight lines might have killed me. The Normandy looks super nice in charcoal. Was the text hard to emulate at all or petty easy? I really like the swirly star filled background. *looks at other people's comments* Baby Garrus' being made? lol XD I love you people. So between graphite pencil and charcoal which do you like better? I'm guessing charcoal?
